Talking baseline/100% stock dyno @ AAM Meet 06/02/07

This is my first ever dyno with my car. My car is 100% stock. The only thing I have is tinted windows and NRG/CASkyline Hood dampers installed. That stuff and I use Amsoil 5w-30 and BP Ultimate gas. And that's it... these are the my numbers and, I'm sorry for anyone that I upset with my results, I was just as shocked as you guys when I saw it. So without further stalling......

I had a great time at the meet, even though it was hot as all hellfire and I was sweating bullets. It was good to meet everyone and I can't wait until the next event I can make it to

Not literally "upset" but Ralph for example.... with mods, did 241. And a couple others were in the 230s. So it was a suprise when I did mine and got a good result like that. So I guess more like "you lucky f**ker" kinda upset as opposed to "I'm pissed" upset.

Hey marcus, I guess the mrev & spacer actually do DO something. when comparing mine to yours, check out my tq numbers between 3-5k rpm.

I remember Dehj ran a stock 06 coupe on the dyno last year. I think he got better numbers even. I'm not sure though. could be wrong.

but for instance gtofu had a bunch of mods on his 06 and he was running about 5-9 rwhp more than me i think and at the time he just had Headers, cats, and stock exhaust. And was untuned on the utec. I think if he had a full exhaust and tune he'd be well over 10+ rwhp. I wanna say that last time he ran a 253-255?

im sure the thread is here somewhere

Yeah, I was thinking that too but... it is what it is I guess I may go do it again on a less humid day, early in the morning. Schedule something for when they first open. I'm hoping they'll come up a bit. But, if not... I guess I'll have to just hope for the best that that'll come up when I start modding the engine/exhaust.

You have a point. I bought the AAM angled spacer and will get that installed soon. I also got the AAM intake kit for 1/2 price [bought WTFNoTurbo[my350z boards] raffle win]. So we'll see what [if anything] those do for me.

Exclamation They only ran to 6500 rpm redline ?!!!!

Your horsepower would have been significantly higher if they had run to red line. Our cars have consistently flat torque curves.

Look at your torque curve. It is entirely possible to be at 190 or 185 torque at 7200 rpm.

Remember, horsepower equals torque multiplied by rpm divided by 5252.

190 (torque) x 7200 (rpm) = 1368000 / 5252 = 260 Horsepower.

185 (torque) x 7200 (rpm) = 1332000 / 5252 =253 Horsepower.
