Driver side window not working

So I left the house for work this morning and noticed my door was a bit harder to close than normal. I figured the cold weather was the cause as it always seems to need more 'umph' to close in cold weather (harder rubber). So going to lunch I noticed a lot of wind noise from outside coming in. I try to put up the drivers side window but it wont work. I look at the window and it appears the top portion is snug while the bottom portion near the frame of the door is open. Its far enough open to stick a finger through (like your pinky). Now I am completely aware of the window motor problems of this car.

But the window wont go up/down at all and it seems to have seized in place. As you all know when you close the door hte window rolls down/up to ensure a seal. However, my window no longer does that either. Something is definitely wrong. The reason for my post before I visit the dealer is could this be a fuse?? Before driving to the dealer and having to waste 3 hrs for something like a fuse, maybe I can just swap it myself. Anybody have this kind of issue?? I know that many have had faulty window motors but I wasnt aware of the extent of the problem....G is pissing me off...every 2-3 months something comes up w/ it..

my first guess is that if it were a fuse, other devices would be out for the count as well. Im thinking you motor just died.

Most likely a motor. I literaly replaced 100s of them when I was at Infiniti and no fuses that I can remember. If you car is still in warranty go ahead and take it to the dealer as they will cover it. If not I have them in stock and your price would be $184.02 for the part and I can check with a tech to see how much a side job would cost. Also just in case you need to get the part the part number is 80731-CD001. Good luck and let me know what happens.

Edit* For now try hitting the inside of the door rather hard a few times. Sometimes it will jar it loose enough to get it working enough to make it go up or down once. It is by no means a fix for the problem.

It's not a fuse. You either need a new motor and/or regulator, or the timing needs to be reset. Either way, you need to go to the dealer for repair.

Definitley the motor or regulator...Passport Infiniti has replaced my drivers side motor and regulator 3 times and my passenger side once. Make sure that when you get it fixed that they align the window properly when they put it back in. I have to take mine back in cause air get in through the side and water gets in when I wash my car.

Hey, one of my techs here at work just came from IOC, he just told me that he has 2 brand new window motors, both sides if anyone needs them. So if anyones warranty is up, and needs a window motor, let me know.
