I opened this back up seeing as though the first thing never materialized.

I am kicking around a few ideas. It is probably just easiest to have a cookout and drive planned. I have some suggestions though:

1. BBQ and drive to the beach (don't stay overnight but just a long drive for the day)
2. BBQ and stay at the beach (would be tough getting a room in 2 weeks notice but possible)
3. BBQ and local drive
4. Meet out someplace and drive

This needs to be decided on very soon to get the word out!!
I'm thinking Memorial Day weekend is best. Preferably even Monday.

^^ yeah but Va. Beach and Myrtle are pretty far. Both 6+ hour drives. Not sure how many people would be cool with that. Myrtle is definitely too far being in South Carolina so I don't think thats possible... At least not for this trip.

We can always go back to Cabin John and do something there since I know the park manager and he's hooked us up before.

^okay...now that I know its that far out..lets remove that thought .
Cabin John was okay...besides that fact that Devon was so loud he disrupted the church folks hahahahahahaha!

We can do another skyline BBQ...But I would still be down for OC if it comes around to it...Too bad we don't have Nicer Beaches that are closer

^^ Yeah you're right. Beach trip was fun but it may be kinda tough to just go for the day. What do some others think??

I hate being into work so early

^Where is Sandy Point?

How about going camping somewhere? I wouldn’t mind having a BBQ at my place (Ashburn).

Hey Marc, depending on how many people show up its possible we can have a lot of cars/people.

Usually we do the bbq's at Cabin John or Sandy Point. Sandy Point is by the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and the beach is on the Bay. Whatever place we do decide on would be best to accomodate all of our cars too.

Big B, Sandy Point is not a bad idea but you think Memorial Day would be nuts to find a spot there with everyone out?

We could even go on back roads and cruise too around here.

Okay, it might be better to do this on Sunday as Monday will be very crowded.

On the other note...Sandy Point can be done. Heard you guys had a blast last time you went. I wouldn't mind OC again since we are already driving that far out.
