That correct, You are wasting money on Blue Ray if any of the following
is true.
1, Your TV is <42" in zise (720p is crystal clear on 37" already, you won't see any flaws with 720p unless go go 42" or bigger)
2, Your TV is regular HD, not Super HD which goes to 1020p (not 1080i)
(Regular HDTV goes to 720p, which is better than 1080i)
3, You connect with other type of cables other than HDMI
(I think component cable can't cut it anymore for 1020p, it could do progressive scan but still analog not digital)

^lol....
yea its pretty much stupid...most averaga HD tvs are a grand or maybe less since i last checked(year ago), but none the less your right. Most familys cant afford new tvs, cause most households have 3 or 4 tvs in it. Thats alot of money to spend and not many ppl know about the change. But last i heard of a rumor of some kind of box that is suppose to be HD and you can connect to your regular tv or something like that....

^i wasnt planning on getting a plasma...im still in favor of LCD..cheaper from my connections at the moment..so i wont be paying retail...i should be getting my hands on a 60" lcd for under 1800...but no HD that i know of..i have to do more research so i can get the one i want.

hahah burnin takes a good while, but its possible on plasma still. Some DLPs have the milisecond(s) of delay between when your action and the action on screen with video games. LCD is usually really good with video games.
I want a 1080p TV, but I will wait for the second gen Samsungs to see if their chips change any.

^all this hype on plasma tvs when they first launched, and it cost around 10 grand for one ...forget that..even now they're kinda cheaper "rolleyes: but i still wouldnt get one..I heard one too many stories of this things going up. I have good experiences with LCD's so far, so they got my vote...or money
