Jason thats ridiculous, How is yours not covered under warranty? Go to any other dealership. Jim Coleman has replaced mine about twice! I had the same problem... There is no way in hell you should pay 800 bucks for that..

If your car is withing the 4 years/60,000 miles, it's covered under warranty. If not, they can remove the stereo and send it in to Clarion to have it repaired. Then when it comes back they re-install it. And trust me, buying a new one will cost you A LOT more than $800.
If you know how, I would suggest removing the radio yourself (not easy!!!), then bringing it to an Infiniti dealer to send in for repair. The repair shouldn't cost you more than $200.
If you want, I can check if I can send it in for repair from here at Nissan. I don't see why not, it would go to the same place.
Only set back is, you will not have a head unit for about 2 weeks.

def go aftermarket. Don't bother spending money on a stock one to be replaced/fixed. Not worth the time and effort to get the same thing back. Mine is starting to act up. It skips alot more on copied CD's for no reason. I'm looking into getting an aftermarket one next month or sooner once this one dies out.

That sucks man, my sh|t was makin some weird noises the other day. Watch that sh|t work just fine right until my warranty runs out...then it'll break down....and I will probably bump up this thread back up.
