Good luck! Sunnyvale is nice. Right next to San Jose, Palo Alto, and Mountainview. Essentially, you'll be right in the middle of Silicon Valley. The main road in that area is El Camino Real with a MVC type shop every two miles along that road. Unfortunately, the male to female ratio is 60/40 so it'd probably be better to party in Frisco. In frisco, watch out for the Castro district. BTW, If you like asians, your golden.
