^ were they doing that on the VQ35DE?

They've changed more than just the intake/throttle body assy, so there are bound to be decent gains from the system.

nope, no twin intake/throttle bodies on our VQ35DE...all new. also header's bound to have better gains as they look almost aftermarket and not as restrictive..

^ The new "Skyline". The new "GT-R" engine is still undisclosed. The GT-R will no longer carry the Skyline name at all.
It's similar to what Toyota did with the "Celica Supra". Yes the Supra much like the GT-R started off as the top end Celica. It wasn't until the 3rd generation Supra that it lost the Celica ties.

Yea that dual intake system was done on the VQ35DE. So I stand by my earlier statement.

^^theres a huge difference in an aftermarket (custom made) dual intake/throttle body setup and a car that comes OEM from the factory with dual intakes/throttle bodies.

This is because the intake runner/plenum are is also modified so a dual intake system on an 07 might make more of a difference than on a car not designed for a dual intake setup (03-06).

I think new rating are all under SAE standard i think. So you can't compare this to any previous numbers since our numbers were overated. The IS350 is only 300 or so and so is the new 335i (though that might be a slight underating on bmw's part). That's quite an improve withought upping the displacement. They gotta leave room for aftermarket right? haha

Yes that is on the new system. I think someone posted a while back that on the new system the Rev-Up was at like 192hp, so thats a siginificant gain. I see the new coupe being 310, then maybe up to 320 after a year or two.

the old engine already got SAE NET edjusted this year, the rev up makes 293hp while the non-rev up makes 275hp under SAE NET, 293-306 is still a pretty marginal gain IMO for a 80% redesigned engine with all the new features.
