just do it! it's much cleaner If a detailer can remove paint swirls, you can remove any slight difference from paint fade...

I just did mine and it turned out great.
If you use fishing line tie a knot every inch and saw back and forth.
When I did the side that was hot from the sun it pulled right off.
There are no unfade marks on the paint and my car is over a year old so have at it.

If you have had the car a while ,i would leave it.It will definately leave a line where it was due to the sun.

well i just ended up leaving work early and demolding it my self... just let it bake out in the sun and then pried it off with my fingers... then used goo gone to remove all the residue... then i spritzed with nxt speed detailer to remove most of the grime... then i washed her real quick...

verdict... i do have some paint fade, i can definitly see where the molding use to be... i just spread a thin layer of nxt liquid wax... gonna see how it does...

if not this weekend i will use scratch-x and some polish to try to blend the area... oh well... it definitly looks alot cleaner and i am guessing in due time it will blend... if not, i can always reapply the molding with more double sided tape... hehe ...

car does look damn sexy though, i am loving it...

i am actually now parking on the 7th level of my parking garage (instead of 3rd), let my body pannels get some loving from the sun/elements wear it down a tad... hehe.
