the 350z is a lot more to insure than the g coupe. because we're categorized as luxury coupes and not "sport cars."

Ha ha, SRT-4 is #3! That's hilarious! My buddy who has a 350Z, we compared insurance quotes and Lek is right on the money. I pay about $300 less/year ensuring the G and the Jeep than he does just the Z and I have a lower deductible!

I think the pattern is pretty clear in term of most expensive list. They are all sporty cars and majority of the demograph driving them, are young tuners. More incline to drive fast (mostly in retarded and wreckless manner) therefore higher risk of accident or claim. The least expensive seem to be more family oriented slower drivers. I think insurance is a game of probability, high risk of costing the insurance company money = higher cost to insure.

Lek is right about diffrentiation between G's and Z's, same platform, but demograph is much different. I'm sure we're not too far behind though..possibly top 25.

Did U know that the top of the line Z puts out 300hp...

VQ35DE—3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine (M/T models)
300 hp @ 6,400 rpm
260 lb-ft @ 4,800 rpm

I don't know if it makes a big difference but, are the Zs really faster than the G???...

DAMN, I was in Adams Morgan earlier this week and this dude saw me get out of my car and he stopped me to tell me the Z is faster cuz it comes with 330hp stock. I knew he was lying to my face, but I just had to ask and make sure

dont always beleive what the mags say.when we all went to mir a couple months ago, most of the z,s weighed anywhere from a low of 3060,which was albertos car.most are in the range of 3100-3250,the heavy ones are the zr,s.btw that was with the drivers in their cars.
