My Car is at D&V :(.......... glad its them though

The parking garage here has a metal support beam along the floor at the thop that pertrudes upwards. I was going to turn around in the garage since there was no parking and then I hear an ugly skid noise as I am raised up a bit. The guy behind me in an A8 gets out and says it before I do.."What a stupid place to put a support beam!" He was helpful guiding me back over the hump which was as painful.

I immediately took it to IOC where Gary greeted me with open arms and put me right up on the lift. The damage came to the underbody carriage which is rubbing my exhaust hard and also pushing up against my gas tank. He then connected me with D&V where Ron greeted me and did a quick estimate until its able to be put on a lift. Its looking like a minimal of $300-500 of which wont be going on my insurance if its that low.

I scraped the bottom up pretty good. There are no exhaust leaks, but the welds holding the underbody panel on are shot and have to be remade. This isnt a big accident of the sort, but its painful nonetheless now that my car is out of commission and hopefully has nothing else wrong with it. An alignment will be coming directly after it gets fixed Quite a few other items got scraped pretty badly but not damaged to need replacement.

My morning rant....

damn dude that sux but your in good hands with IOC and D&V. werent you and rhea completely "finished" with IOC??

I love IOC and had a real pleasant experience there last week. Dropped by for an oil change w/o an appointment and there were no open slots. Gary took good care of me and I am and will continue to do business with them.

Ron and Kevin will treat you right over at D&V. My car was there for a few weeks and will be back on Friday to finish the bodywork off.
