Encountered my first G35 hater(or he is jealous of my G)
A neighbor in my townhouse community noticed me washing my G and asked if it is my father's car.
He knows that my wife and I own our townhouse and I've been the only one driving it since my wife does not know how to drive a stick.
I said "No, I own my car and I've worked hard for it".
His response was "Well, congradulations you have a nice car". Then he walked away.
I know I look young for my age at 30(some people say I appear to be in my mid-20s) but a lot people in their 20's drive Gs, correct?
Has anyone else had a similiar situation?

not really, its not like G is an exceptionally expensive car, a lot of people can afford it. I got hurrassed by a campus cop once last year that might be cause of the car, but no one really hate on it. except for NOG4ME that is, who thinks every G owners are stuck up and self centered

I'm not sure what part of your account suggests he was a G35 hater. If anything, it sounds like you're a little sensitive about owning the car. Why did you have to make a big deal about it being yours and you working for it? Wouldn't it have been sufficient to just reply to his question with "nope, I just picked it up"?
was his tone noticeably sarcastic?
If not, it doesnt seem all that offensive. If it is true that he would know that you are the owner of the townhome and you drive the car and was trying to slight you, that might make sense.
If you are new to that area, has your father been around and he possibly saw that? (fat chance, but could be the case *shrugs*)
Either way, my reply would have been, "no, its mine. Why would you think that?"
That is the question I would be curious to know the answer to.

I didn't make it a big deal. I answered his question. He asked if it is my father's car and I mentioned to him that its my car.
That doesn't make sense if I would have responded to his question "I picked it up". That is very unclear. That could mean I'm borrowing the car from somebody, I'm leasing it, etc...

i kinda agree with both ppl...to say 'is this ur fathers car' is kinda insinuating that your a spoiled rich boy. but at the same time i wouldve been the bigger man, more modest and humble and said 'oh this POS..ahh i won this at a raffle, gonna sell it and upgrade to a 911TT..just not sure what color...what color you like in a porsche??'
