Where did my oil go?

Last weekend I changed my oil. I had driven 4000 miles on 5 quarts of Mobil 1. After I finished the oil change i put the old oil into a jug and see that I took out less than 2 quarts of oil from the G. I am always careful to look for leaks when i leave parking places so I am pretty sure it didn't leak out. The worthless dipstick seems to read almost full.

Does anyone know if it is normal to burn through that much oil?

Wouldn’t it depend on how you drive the car?
