last night......lil more details for ya.....

Light is RED, (me) line up on the right on the shoulder, (jesus) far left lane, (Jr.) Center lane. Light goes green ....(me) pulls hard off the line, at least a half a car, Jesus 1/4 car, Jr. last......into 2nd gear..me pulls by over a car actually merges back in front of Jr. Jesus clearly ahead of Jr. into 3rd I'm more then 1 1/2 cars ahead I shut down.

 

haha ... yeah Dev .. u got me .. no excuses ... i didnt get the best launch .. but even if i did .. i didnt think it would make much more a difference... Jesus had me by a 1/4 car the whole time ...and i thought u had me by 1 car length ..since i was right on ur tail when u merged back.. good times .. we should race again!

 

^Isnt Arjun's car still stock ...So he shouldnt be beating anyone or anything except for himself late @ night holding the lotion bottle j/k

 

^well I have to give Jr. some props....he does beat quite a few peeps here on the boards....he can drive pretty good. we have had this lil sparring match about who's faster for a lil while and last night was a golden opportunity to see what was what.

 

his data systems lip has slowed him down^^

haha bro.. i was just messin with you .. obviously at no point i thought my car was faster than urs.. I knew u were faster.. just wanted to know how much faster .. i guess i got my answer... this brings me to anotehr questions .. yesterday i turned VDC off...and i was tryin to launch .... but it felt like vdc was kickin back in ..and then again ... when i started swervin behind u.... when u started braking .. it kicked in again ... so even tho i turned it off.. it was ON? ..cuz i launched at 2k rpm ..and it felt slow when i launched! .. usually it doesnt.. it has been doing that lately....

 

You must have had a decent launch because Jesus was only a 1/4 car ahead of you.....which is typical for the 2 of you, or so the stories go. I actually over reved 1st bounced the limiter...then shifted...I think I could have pulled a lil more from you, but bad shift on my part.

 

oh really?.. i usually have the lead on Jesus off the line .. most of the time ..when i launch right...and then he catches up ..and beats me..since he has more high end .... but i think there is a problem with the VDC sensor... i tried launching twice on the way home ..and i couldnt spin my tires..and the VDC wouldnt kick in... when i had it turned off..

 

I believe that VDC is still active even when turned off, but not sure how sensitive they are and would take serious spin before triggering. I lost traction in the rain with it off and no assist was provided. if you tires didn't spin, there's no way VDC would be triggered.

sometime in september the guys over at my350z will be having another mir raceday.yall should come out to this one,last time it was $60.00 for as many runs as you want.at least this time it will be cooler and not 95 and humid as hell. and we had the track to ourselves all day till 5:00 pm.

 

How do have a bad launch in an automatic? Don't you just press the gas all the way down?
