Italy had the hardest group...it didn't seem like it because they did well. Why don't you check out the FIFA rank to the other teams in the group.

I don't need to defend Italy because the result agqainst germany will say it all.

^^check out hte fifa rank?? are you kidding me?? in your 'fifa ranking' system the US was #10 and Iran was #13....thats b4 the world cup started. Take that fifa rank w/ a grain of salt as most people do.....

besides the czech republic (both of their top strikers were out after game 1) when italy played them....who else did italy face who was 'difficult'?? ghana??? the US???

hardest group?? lool...check out group c and d buddy!!

I agree with the suicide bomber on this one, Germany has looked more impressive to me, especially when grinding it out vs Argentina, an offensive powerhouse. I think Germany had the tougher division as far as opponents go.

ACTUALLY US was ranked #5, and the Czech's were ranked #2, both of whom were knocked out... (according to FIFA pre-world cup rankings)

The Ranking system is not accurate ...cuz its based on the qualifying matches ..and most of the "superstars" of the big teams ..such as Brazil, England, Italy, Germany etc. etc... don't play in these qualifiers... therefore you cannot judge a team by its "FIFA RANK"..... As far as Germany V/S Italy... its going to be a good game .. however Germany being at home have the edge .... But we can't count Italy out... they have a lot of Talent... from Pirlo, Totti, Toni, Inzaghi,Gattusa,Buffon... Del Piero....etc. etc. they are all experienced world class players ... It's going to be close.... i'm expecting a very close game...

Guess Italy was in a pretty hard group huh? And the US played pretty damn well to hold them to a draw.
