Any old/current comic book collectors?

I was writing in the thread about the move and brought up that my parents brought up a lot of my old stuff from their home. I have a huge box full of comic books still in their plastic and cardboard backed cases. I didnt realize what I had on my hands like Wolverine #1, Xmen #1, The Thing #1, Spiderman #1, and some others.

Some of these number 1's are of course when they started over again back in the 90's.

Any collectors in here?

Acctually, I just pulled out my stash a couple weeks ago. I quit collecting about 94-95. I have loads of comics, cards, and Wizards! haha, remember those. I was going to sell everything. But imma hold on to em. Some of them are about 20 years old.

yeah, I was thinking of holding on for a bit longer myself. No rush. Wizards though?? maan, I used to check for those every issue to find out the value of some of my major titles. I wonder when that mag died out.

edit: I just checked and Wizard is still around.

I still collect comics. JLA, Ultimate X-Men, Ultimate FF, GL, etc.

I have like 10 boxes of old comics. All the old punisher's, wolverine's, even the major series stories, like Galactic Storm, etc.

I miss the "What IF" Titles. those were pretty cool.

I dont remember the Hulk going up against Wolverine. That sounds pretty hot.

What Wolverines do you have? I think I have like 1-40 and after that it gets speckled.

I have almost the entire series (the last series, not like all all of them) of What Ifs...? There were some great ones. What If Capt. America hadn't been frozen? What if the heroes had lost Atlantis Attacks? What if Iron Man had shared his armor technology? What if the new Fantastic Four stayed together (Spidey, Wolverine, Hulk, and Ghost Rider?

The new what if's sucked. They trieds to revive the series recently...terrible. I have Wolverine 1-100+. I tuned out after he had his adamantium stripped from his body...plus my mom made me stop...boo.

I have a few of them lying around, but the best series to me was "THE AGE OF APOCALYSPE", were everything was changed around and Magneto was the leader of the X-men & he was married to Rouge...GOOD STUFF

OH YEA I REMEMBER THAT, Magneto sucked the Adimantium out of his body through his pores...and he came to realize that his claws were really his bones...confusing how they arrived to that but, whatever...

He didn't die but needless to say the sh!tstorm came when all his old enemies found out but he still whupped up on them. It turned out that the adamantium was actually hampering his healing abilities. He was out on a training excercise to gauge his new power and he got hit by a truck. Broken bones and all sorts of f'ed up ****. But he healed like 10X faster than he ever had before. It was cool. Not sure what happened after that. I blanked out. I collect mostly DC now.

Funny I used to be pro-Marvel and Anti-DC, now I'm neutral Marvel and Pro-DC. The new stuff though, Ultimate X-man and Ultimate Avengers is pretty good. Very edgy stuff. For example, in UA, the hulk goes on a rampage (surprise, surprise) and runs around Manhattan wanting to eat Freddie Prinze Jr. b/c he took Betty Banner out on a date. When they finally capture and subdue him he turns back into Bruce. He starts apologizing to Cap for all the destruction. Cap says, "Let's not worry about that and just get your broken jaw looked at". Bruce says, "What broken jaw?". CRACK!!! Cap kicks him in the face. Never saw that **** coming. Hank Pym (Ant-Man) is on the run for beating Janet (aka the Wasp). Tony Stark is a womanizing pimp who openly enjoys his alcoholism. Good stuff!!!
