Dont you just hate it when......
people who try 2 squeeze into the gap between you and the car infront then when you let them in they slam on da breaks because there afraid and too close to the car infront......also when im on a 1 way road and cant go any faster because theres a car infront of me and a freakn civic is riding my *** flashin his lights....i just wana give him a "brake check" but den the idiot might hit me
I just hate when this little chubby asian dude drive his black g35 like it's a ferrari or something. Making sharp corners and cutting people off on the road. Double clutching and power shifting his way through traffic. I think he has some volks and a front lip. He look like a little kid driving it. He pimp this thing so hard.....hahahah

For example, on a 3 lane road, say someone is going too slow in the middle lane. You're in the far left lane, but your RIGHT turn is coming up and you pass on the left. You start merging right, and all of a sudden, some guy passes the middle car on the right and flies up in your blind spot while you're merging. Seeing the blind spot one lane over is hard enough, it's damn near impossible when someone 2 lanes over is coming around a truck or van.

Good point, but personally it comes down to anticipation of other cars around you and reading the flow of traffic. I do my best to respect other people's blind spot ei. if we're both chaning to the same lane and i'm in their blind spot (which means i'm behind them) , I always let them go. I believe that if an accident does occur, the person behind is mostly at fault for the simple fact that you have a full view of the other car merging and did nothing to avoid it. Just a thought.

there almost always somewhere to dodge to or brake etc depending on the stage of the manuver. in the event that some idiot decides to merge right without looking. Its just as likely said Idiot would cause some terrible or even worse scenario merging left.

if theres an idiot that dosnt look when changing lanes, your still not really better off passing left, youll still end up dodging traffic no matter which side youre on while passing if someone is merging into you. ha
You're completely missing my point. If there's a general rule that you pass on the left, then there's a general understanding that cars going faster than you will pass on your left. So you don't expect people to fly up behind you on your right. Careful drivers will look anyway, but most drivers suck, and many will not look.
Another example:
You're the first car in the line and you want to get right and slow down for your turn. At this moment you're all fairly close and going about the same speed. The last car wants to pass. You look right, no one in the lane. Before you start merging, the last car punches the gas and tries to pass on the right. You don't look again, because no one was there 0.5 seconds ago, and you merge right and tap the brakes for your turn. Bam, some ****hole who wanted to pass on the right hits you. If he had gone left, this wouldn't have happened.

If people drove the speed limit I'd say you're correct. But when I merge, I check the blind spot, then maybe watch the mirror as I turn. I can't keep my head turned looking in my blind spot for cars going faster than they should be in the right lane.
You also have to consider that if you're doing the limit, and someone whips around you on the right to pass, they're speeding, another thing which you should be weary of, but also makes them even more at fault.

You always have to remember that most driver's don't pay due attention while driving. So you need to be aware of the situation for everyone. Yea it may not be fair, but you'll stay out of harms way.
Guess what I saw today. I was out for lunch, so I decided to eat healty. So I went to Giant in Fairfax Greenbriar shopping center. Leaving giant I see a blonde driving a SUV with her purse on top of the truck. I yell HEY HEY HEY and started pointing. Did I forget to say she was facing me. The B!tch hit the gas. I guess thinking OH **** a black man yelling. So an old white guy start yelling also, then the b!tch stop and so kid got her purse for her. Now I really believe blondes are stupid.
