I think they look ok. You'll notice that more vehicles are doing this now, it is part looks part functionality. I don't think it any more rice than going to an aftermarket bulb or lip.

There's a place you can send your oem mirrors to get the lights put in. I'd get it iif the light part was blacked out... only see it when the light is flashing at night.
