I would like to enter my first autocross event or just get some driver instruction in the near future. What tires, currently on the market, are good for the stock G37 S sedan wheels? Should I stick with the stock sizes 225/50/18 & 245/45/18? I would like to stay under $1000 installed, if possible.

Yokohama ADVAN APEX V601 in 235/50/18 & 255/45/18

 

I ran indy firehawks on my AWD X sean for (most of) a season and DD. I don't have other summer/performance tires to compare them against, but I suspect the extra stiff sidewall that firehawks are known for helped for the heft of our G's
