As many of us have seen the G/Q does not have the greatest aftermarket when it comes to track oriented modifications. This has left us to fend for ourselves by modifying other items (Z stuff mostly) or straight up creating our own inventions.

Most companies are willing to produce items as long as there is some interest. With this being said let's see what interests everyone. My goals are to collect the data and then start up some production/group buys if possible.

Here are some of the ideas that I would like to see come to fruition:

-NASA/SCCA Roll Cage Kit (bolt/weld in)
-Canards (aluminum/carbon fiber for IPL/Sport/Zele)
-Diffuser (aluminum/carbon fiber for IPL/Sport)

-Interior "Blank" Panels/Dash Shell (aluminum/carbon fiber)

-AWD Final Drive Modification/Built T-Case/Dedicated AWD
-Lexan/Poly Windows/Sunroof Delete
-Manual Steering Rack
-Radiator Cooling Plate
-4 Way Adjustable Coilovers

Hopefully we can get the ball rolling on some of these and others. Let me know what you want designed/produced for our platform (keep in mind it does not have to be purely track related). Feel free to add to my list as well. I will actively tally interest and when we hit a certain amount (maybe 10-15 range) I will begin to contact companies.

Very interesting idea, I like where this could go.
Do you have specific companies in mind for some of those products listed?
My only concern for the folks going this route would be if it will be utilizing the proper channels and ensuring the requests are going to the right people. This is in no way to downplay your current network connections but I've seen things fall through when put in the wrong hands.
Other than that, I hope this turns into a forcing function for some companies to relook their entire product line and see where else they could offer products or services to aid the community.

 

I'm currently looking into different possibilities for certain items (reputable companies, no GTMs). Once we get interest in a certain area I can contact the company and get price points/wait times/etc...

 

Sounds like quite an undertaking Mike, but w/ your beastly G you would be a great lead dog on this. Look forward to seeing what interest this generates, definitely a worthy task.

For added responsiveness at higher speed? Low speeds would be killer with our heavy cars (Popeye forearms mod required haha)

 

Hey bud. Checked it out and definitely interested in these:
-Roll cage. Maybe getting Street Faction to fab up one?
-Splitter/Diffuser/Canards. I’d say check out Aeroflow dynamics?
-Brake ducts for sure. I’ve seen a few people online DIY.
-New dash blank or panel swaps would be super nice.
-Rear seat panel/cover I think I’ve seen, but I forget where. Might have been for the G35.
-Currently working on a diff. cooler. Will share what I used and how I set it up after it’s finished.
-Lexan or poly windows. Definitely want to start with taking out the sunroof.

Contacted a couple of companies regarding roll cages and polycarbonate windows. Let's see what we get back.
