It's all about lines and smooth inputs.

Sweet track. I would have a blast on that. I would need lower profile tires though or i'd be a drifting fool....

Which track is this? Is it in mass? Open track day or part of a club track day?

Ooo, elevation changes. Don't get much of that here. Nice looking track.

Watch out for the ends of those curbs, I broke a wheel on one in my Miata. And even on warm-up and cool-down laps, follow the racing line to help with memorization.

My favorite part was around 2:20. How'd you feel holding those extended turns? I know this was a warmup lap but it didn't seem like the back kicked out too much.

Paddle shifters are very fun but terrible for the track. They are stationary with the steering column and aren't mounted to the wheel itself so while taking turns you'll have to reach for the paddle or down to the shifter. Great mod list, the cats, CBE and CAI are your best options for power.

One shouldn't be shifting while turning, so it doesn't really matter.

Yeah mostly true unless in a long sweeping turn or daily driving but I was just stating, the swap is mostly for the fun factor, I couldn't say with confidence it would help much at the track.

I actually like the fact that they're column mounted and not wheel mounted. Great for when you're "accidentally" sideways and need to pull a gear. You'll always know where they are. :P
