Very nice run and unfortunate pair up. Man do I love me some GTR but no manual option is a downer.

 

You guys actually get paired up more or less evenly for the races?

In here, it's just a 3 lane line going into a funnel in which eventually only 1 car fits and you get paired up in order of arrival lol.

 

I was hoping you were boosted and left the GTR in the dust lol. But that's a damn good time/60ft. That's completely stock? With no weight reduction? Most people can't even break mid 13s let alone low 13s.

 

the lanes here are even from the back all the way up to the front. I didn't have anyone in mind to run against that time so I didn't care what I got paired up with. But that time I got paired with the GTR lol. The way they work the lanes its easy to pair up with someone you want. Yes Im completely stock with full interior. Im at sea level so my car is making 100 percent power. Its all in the 60 foot =)

until the matainance cost starts to get old lol. I dunno why people wished the GTR had a manual transmission..it would be slower. Autos today are pretty damn quick. My 7 speed for example shifts fast and chirps the tires going from 1st to 2nd and the change is pretty instant. I have driven alot of 6 speed manual cars in the past but the gearing and speed of this 7 speed is way better and shifts quicker then I ever could. Sure its not as fun as having a clutch and changing your own gears but lets face it..manuals are starting to show there age when it comes to performance. Back then when you had the slow sluggish 4 speed autos...ya the 5 and 6 speed were a lot better with there shorter gearing and what not. Now autos are fast and have way better gearing. Look at porche with there new 7 speed dual clutch transmission with launch control. Theres no way the same car with a 6mt is going to keep up with that from 0-130. 6mt guy will be wheel hopping and spinning while the 7 speed with launch control and dual clutch will shoot out of the hole fast and will be flying through the gears. Even on a race track the auto porche with that transmission and paddle shifters will do great. I wont lie 6mt's are fun but they just seem tall geared and sluggish to me now lol. Sorry for the long post but I figured details never hurt =)

 

You going to try some drag radials/weight reduction to get into 12s? Some people just like to shift manually. Even if that means auto/dct is faster.

 

nah what im waiting for is a cool dry day to run and try for 12.9 without doing anything..no weight reduction or anything so I can say I did it bone stock =) The world record for a stock g37 from what I seen on youtube was 13.0 but the video does not show interior shots of the car so I dunno if it had anything taken out of it or not. But im trying to beat that record =) Funny how some of the posts in the youtube video are from muscle car guys saying that car does not have enough power to run low 13's and it prolly has a 50 shot LOL. I had a fair share of people at the track looking around my car asking how much am I spraying and am I AWD because of my 60 foot heh.
