G37 Sedan at the Track w/ Video Clips

Hey guys, so I took the G37S Sedan to the track this past weekend and some people sent me a couple of video clips from the track that they got of me on their GoPro's .... thought i would share them just for kicks, they are really short clips but they give you a nice idea of how much fun i had out there with the G

BTW the car is a 2012 6mt sedan, lowered on H&R springs, front and rear SPC camber kit, 20mm spacer up front and 25mm spacer in the rear ... and an absolute blast on the track even with stock bridgestone potenzas that nearly peeled completely off by the end of the day

anyways enjoy and feel free to comment here or there

Mike, can we go to the track together sometime? I'm a friggin' noob and I need to learn lol.

Last time I went, I got a 1:38 on SOW CCW, with my NT05's lol. That should AT LEAST be 1:35 territory.

Btw, how were your temps doing during the day?

Wassup V ... Yea for sure man, im always down to hit up the track ... We'll work on your lines to get those better ... That alone should get you down into that 1:35 range. Lets just wait until it warms up a little more because it was way too cold this past weekend. It was mostly in the low to mid 20 degree range and spiked at about 38 degrees so i didnt have any problems at all with the engine temperature and i was keeping my eye on it the whole time.

Plus i was on street tires in freezing cold temperatures which is why i ended up sliding around so much. It was like being on ice because the tires never really warmed up much. Cant complain though, the sliding was a lot of fun LOL, but it was killing my times. But hey, who cares about times when your having fun right =D

VDC always off on a track, it cuts way too much power and takes away the whole fun of tracking

When you first start on the track it is good to leave it one the get a sense of lines and what you are doing. once you gain confidence and skill then it is usually suggested to turn it off. Also depends on which organization you go with. If you run with HOD they don't allow drifting lol.

I had spacers on my track Evo X too until i got better wheels ... never had an issue.
Many time attack race teams also use spacers on their cars, pro GT cars also use them, Porsche GT racing uses spacers all day long, its actually very safe so long as you keep an eye on them and make sure they are always properly torqued before every track day. Rule of thumb is to usually never go above a 25mm spacer for track use ... anything 25mm or less is very safe if properly maintained.

Thanks for the info though

That looks like a blast! I'd love to get my 6mt sedan out on the track. There is one close by me which is really tempting. I had my old g35 6mt sedan at the drag strip a few times but I think the g37 would make for a decent track car, especially with a few minor suspension mods. And a set of good tires.
