Sep 15-16 Performance Driving Expierence PDX Kershaw SC

Hey guys I just wanted to let anyone who is close to the Kershaw SC area that there will be a PDX event on the weekend of Sep 15-16. It is being held at Carolina Motorsports Park which is a 2.3 mile road course. It is a lot of fun. You can register at www.scsportscar.com and then click on the link which will take you to the registration page. They have a pretty good deal going, if you work one day you can drive the next for $125 bucks. So I am going to work Saturday and drive on Sunday. I hope to see more G's out there. One word of caution is to make sure you have good brakes as you can really get up to some high speeds on this track.

Let me know if anyone plans on going. Later Keith

Any suggestions on brakes? I'll be out at ALMS shooting, but I gotta upgrade my pads at least for next time I'm out there.

Yea the Carbotech XP10 pads were awesome. I didn't really notice any brake fade until I hit the 28 min mark. I was by no means babying the car. It was on 110mph off brake on 110mph off brake the whole time. When I got the car home and pulled the pads off to look at them there was hardly any wear. On the other hand I had to rebuild the calipers as it melted some of the plastic dust shields on the pucks. LOL
