Talking TRACK DAY - Intake, Sways or Brakes??

I have a 08 G37S coupe and I'm going to a track event (road course) in a couple of months and need some advice on which mod I should do.
I currently only have an axle back exhaust. Here are the options:

1. Takeda Intake - add some power

2. Hotchkis / Stillen Sway Bars - how much of a difference do these make, and will it really reduce ride quality?

3. Brakes - upgrade rotors and pads.

What are people's thoughts? If you think I should go with another mod not listed let me know. Thanks!

LOL. This questions really made me laugh. First is this a track as in turns or a drag strip? But either case this is what I think should be first.

1). Intake isn't going to make a big difference.
2) Sways is going to make a some what difference if it has turns but a drag strip no.
3) Brakes??? OF COURSE THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. If you can't stop it doesn't matter if you have the best tires cause you won't be able to stop. So if you have no brakes. Get brakes first.

Brakes \ Tires is by far the biggest bang for you buck and most important.

Power upgrades for the 37 if you are not going FI is not gonna do much.

Presuming you mean a road course or Auto X, sway bars will by far make the biggest impact of the 3 mods you have listed. An intake will not shave any time off of your laps. Neither will rotors and pads unless yours are completely shot, you won't get significant additional stopping power unless you make significant upgrades like an entire BBK system and track compound pads. Consider getting a great set of tires as well, like Michelin Pilot Super Sports. They will make a world of difference.

Yes this is for the TRACK (road course) not the drag strip.

Thanks Black Betty, I agree with you 100%. I'm leaning toward sway bars at this point. Also, once my tires wear down I'm going to upgrade to 245 front and 275 rear, that should really help.

Better tires > wide tires.

Race Car Driving Lessons.

A really good driver could achieve faster times with your stock car than you (currently) ever could, even with all of the mods you're considering doing.

I take on-ramps at twice the speed I use to. Imagine that 20 turns in a row.

Sways + Brake lines, Rotors, Test Pipes and Long Tube intake are the most things I've done to my car and felt a difference even higher Dyno numbers (on same dyno counting the difference) but for track go Sways > Brake upgrade and tires > the rest

sways helped and made a difference but strut bar was more than twice amount of noticable

all z's have strut bars this car does not and weighs more, in my mind sways should cost 250 and strut should cost 400 because of the handling i experienced before and after

Do break pads and fluid and then sways if it's a road course. Intakes would be a nice addition but theyd have no where near the same impact
