1/4 mile times

This was the first time i have ran the G since i bought it this February. Did 4 runs all of them were 13.9's. Track temp was around 96 degrees too. This was defiantly a huge difference between the 11.9's my GTO runs, but still fun. Cant wait to get the car tuned and then go back at it.

Cool! Thanks for posting the vid. What were your trap speeds?

Obviously conditions weren't ideal considering the hot weather you guys have been having lately. It said on the news it hit 97 in South Bend yesterday.

Unless you mod the G big time, it'll never come close to your GTO, but you can still have some fun with it.

Yea, trap speeds were 99-100mph on all 4 runs. My goal is to get this car to run mid to low 13's.

Not sure if I've seen anyone running an "x" in the low 13's without significant mods. This AWD system has very little drag, but it does add something like 350 pounds vs. the 2WD model ...

200lbs is an awful lot. Guess i will have to see what kind of gains i will make with a tune and then go from there.

Low and mid 13's is very possible with this car.

Forum member mahonesbones posted a timeslip for his G37x in this thread. He ran a 13.06 @ 106.49.

It doesn't seem like many guys take their G sedans to the 1/4.

13.06 with his mods is a great time. I need a tune and will try again. I honestly feel that with the shift points tightened up i could gain a lot of time.

If you are truly looking for quick 1/4 times, this might be the easier way to go than trying to sup up a V-6:

Bugatti Veyron, Lexus LFA, McLaren MP4-12C and Lambo Aventador in 1/4-mile shootout... who wins?

Very nice timings! Glad to know car can be handled into mid-low 13s through driver's experience. HFC is next on my list as well, following a tune. Heard its the best value out of a mod (expect for the sway bars).

Side Note: Took on an IS350 (dead even, and gaining) while he had a half-car distance infront of me at start. Impressed so far. Only have Topspeed Exhaust.

ive got the 3.5 HR motor, with full intake exhaust and tune and the best i could manage was a 13.9 as well. i guess the 37s extra 30 or so hp and taller shorter geared 7 speed helps out

I ran 13.81 stock with my 6MT. I'm hoping with Stillen intake and exhaust to get in the 13.3-13.5 range.
