Miata. Lotus. S2000. RX-7. Carrera. Ferrari.

None of that platform sharing business.

The Stillen oil cooler package fixed the limp mode on my G37S. If VDC and Brake light is on - check your brake fluid level.

Platform, not engine.

I suppose you could take the viper, lotus, ferrari, zonda, koenigsegg, etc all off that list too, since they offer non fixed-roof cars.

Offer is the key. The Miata and S2000 are not available as fixed roof sports cars like the Viper, Lotus, Ferrari, etc. I realize both are quite capable track cars, but I hate convertibles for many reasons....

Actually, a true sports car (by a strict historical definition) is always a soft-top convertible. I'm surprised that there aren't more people on the forum who know that...

But I guess there's really no true definition of a sports car that everyone will agree.

Mike, I can't help you if you don't admit you have a problem...

All koenigseggs have removal tops.

So does a Carrera GT for that matter...

I think the trend points toward non-fixed-roof cars

Also, seeing a Carrera GT fly down the straight at big willow at 150+ is um... yeah. Chills. In 100+ degree weather. It had clutch issues before I was able to get a ride in it, but people were getting out of the car shaking.

^^^I dunno, I think I'd rather see an LFA at full song. That engine is just orgasmic sounding....

The LFA is a work of art.

It sounds eerily similar to a CGT...

Oh, and I spun off the track at 115 today... gonna have dirt flying out of my car for a long time now. And I need an alignment.

Is a boxster spyder a sports car? Lotus 211? Radical SR-x? KTM xbow?

Yes I get your point. I just don't like cars without roofs personally....
