Track event this Saturday and Sunday at Buttonwillow raceway

Alfa Romeo Club of Southern California, AROSC Home Page, is hosting two day event at Buttonwillow Raceway. Two day event starting October 24th and 25th, 2009. Definitely a great event. Hope to see you there. My friend and I are only two with G37 at the track. Hope to see more G37s out there.<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/4YDgiPI1n00&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/4YDgiPI1n00&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

No I dont know the difference between RX-8/s2k/alphas. It is my first time visit at Alfa Romeo Owners of Southern California. Event at Buttonwillow.
I will be posting videos and pictures from my visit past Sunday, and there were very cool Alphas out there.

Do you know how to post videos on this site?
Did you know 1960's alpha had disk rear breaks?

If you know answers for above please let me know......

About event at buttonwillow OCT 24th and 25th 2009

Me, Brandon, and Yuntak. Were guests of Fortis Motorsport. A late 30's and 40's social group who enjoys everything about cars. About 10 of us in total from Fortis Motorsport registered and participated event organized by Alpha Romeo Owner of Southern California. AROSC, very friendly, relaxing, family oriented event started last weekend and I have enjoyed time I spent there. Unlike other events we participated with average age was 25. This event there were kids 5 and 6. All the way up to 95 year old gentleman. Who can get my pants to wet, at the race track.

Now about Fortis Motorsport, checkout there track car. I will post some pictures now, but near future I will get more into detail. How they rebuilt a Junk into quality race car. Final event at AROSC, is open race. "RACE", a real race, no time trial, a full race where +- 25 cars start at the same time forming a grid, and whoever finishes first is the winner. According to Mr. Silverman, President AKA "King" of AROSC, "is most fund you can ever have fully dressed from head to toe".

Alpha Romeo Owners of Southern California is not only limited to Alpha owners. However it is open to all car owner. Who enjoy unlike other track events, a relaxing family oriented event. Which whole family can come and enjoy their weekend. I really hope to seen more G's and Z's out there. There were only three G's and Z's at the event.

G's are extremely rare at the track.

Z's not as much, but the major weaknesses of the platform prevent it from being very common. However, there are enough enthusiasts out there

AFAIK, LastChance is the ONLY other G37 owner I know that takes his car out on a road course...

I agree, G is definitely not a track car. However it will make you better driver at the track. Me + track car + adrenaline = reckless track driver.... But the G puts enough fear in my mind to take the apex and turns wisely.
