Catch Can Routing

What is more beneficial. Catch can between the PCV and the intake manifold or from the rear valve cover vent to the intake tube? I’m seeing people run it to the front of the intake manifold half the time and the other half seen to run t in between to catch the feed going into the intake pipe pre throttle body. Please any opinions appreciated! Pics or diagrams of routing appreciated as well. Can you run both vent lines into one can and then spilt the out feed into both the intake manifold and intake tube without disrupted the vacuum?

What is the point of an oil catch can and should I think about getting one for my G as some type of preventative measure?
