So, I have an '08 G37s with an '09 IPL front bumper cover. The grill is painted black, and there are a couple cracks in it. The process of sanding, epoxy, and repainting is going to be a nightmare, but willing to do it, but I would rather find a new grill that I could paint. From the information I have, that grill is not the same size as the stock grill, and can not be purchased separately. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I have done a bit of searching on the threads, but haven't gone looking online much, but thing it would be a good topic to have here as well. Does anyone have much information as to the years IPL was a thing, who actually did the modding and why they decided to stop? A little history would be great!

I have a lot of questions and looking for a lot of little things to get my G up to par, and would like some resources for some carbon fiber accents and what else I can do... Anybody have some time to help?

Grills are the same on all Coupes.
IPL came out in 2011 not 09.

 

Ok great! So I was given inaccurate information. Is it possible that the IPL front bumper for the 2011 is on my 08? More than likely some third party?

Can you confirm that the grill should, in fact, be the same for this bumper cover as it is for stock in the 08 year range?

 

That looks like the front bumper cover on my IPL, but your picture is super low res so it's hard to say. From what I can tell all the grilles are the same throughout every year, as seen on these two websites:

I have an '08 g37 with the' 11 IPL bumper on it. I re-used my stock '08 grille with no issues and fitment is spot on.

As mentioned above. Grilles are the same in all coupes
