Modding the Analog clock?

Has anyone done anything with the Analog clock or the space is it in?

I think it would be cool to have a webcam there or just a small screen there for video chats

Any thoughts?

I'm not a huge fan of the clock either. I'd like a tire pressure gauge in that spot if possible. Something similar to what is in the 350Z (I assume 370Z has it too).

The analog clock is an Infiniti tradition (up to the Q50 at least) that was standard equipment in all Infinitis since the car’s inception. It gives the car some class. I’ve never understood why some mod zealots are so quick to trash these customs in favor of some cut-rate and unnecessary thingamajig.

This. Infiniti tradition. Does the Q50 really not have it?

From what I see in photos, other than the nav display, there’s no clock at all. But it’s still there in the new Q60 coupe, so the tradition continues.

I love the signature analog clock, as do most folks that ride in my car.

Would not dream of changing it...

I would have liked the analog + the digital (I have 2008 G37 ) but people that ride in my car do think it looks more "classy" with the analog.

Its till on the q50 but its digital and you can change the faces on it. I asked the trainer if there were any plans of making it a screen saver so that it popped up when the screen wasn't in use. He said he would recommend it to IT.

Me myself I'd rather see something else there. Like a NOS gauge or something

Well, if you’re against tradition, then you also may favor deletion of :

• The Rolls Royce Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament (for over a 100 years now)
• The easily recognized Aston-Martin grill
• The holes on the sides of Buicks (I guess you won on that one)
• Pontiac's silver streaks on the hood and trunk (sigh, Pontiac itself is gone too)
• Chevrolet Corvette’s round tail lights (oops, they’re gone now too)

I guess traditions in auto manufacturing is a fleeting thing. I, for one, think it’s a shame.

If another car had one I just might. It's about like every other luxury car, Now has a Analog clock. (Cadillac, Jaguar and Lexus just to name a few).
It's like LED DRL and Audi. Now Everyone has them
I've never been one for tradition. Not that I think about it. I guess Infiniti isn't either changing everything to a Q. The G name was a strong brand.
It's like changing the Z to and X. No matter how they are redesigning/branding their line. I know like me there are many shaking their heads.
But, what ya going to do. Not many 2 door non American and non European cars with rear wheel drive out there.

*The easily recognized Aston-Martin grill
You mean like just about every other FORD since FORD bought Aston?
(FIESTA & Fusion)

*The holes on the sides of Buicks (I guess you won on that one)
Buick? Really?

*I never understood why they killed Pontiac and kept Buick. But who cares what I think. I would never buy an American car anyway.

*Chevrolet Corvette’s round tail lights (oops, they’re gone now too)
You forgot about the pop up headlight..... Oh wait, that's also gone.

Just curious. Does anyone know who makes the Infiniti clocks? Is it a good watch/clock company?

They went BACK to tradition on this one. The original Corvette had stationary lights...sorry your argument on this one is void! LoL

For some of the serious car fanatics, japan makes this "robot" that you can maybe mod into that spot.
