No Noise Mods

I am new forum member and new to the G37 (although I have been reading for a while). I previously modded a Turbo Miata. The mods made the little miata very quick, and very noisy.

I bought the G37 because I wanted a car that was more refined, but could still move. I have read numerous Mods threads where folks are putting on turbos, superchargers, cat-backs, intakes, mufflers, Uprev tune, etc.

What mods make the G37 quicker, without making the car noisier?

Intakes should not make much noise. I have the stillen gen3 and its quiet except at wot. Even then it's not much. Turbos and supercharger is not noisy IMO but you may need an exhaust to make the car breathe better. Intake, RHFC plus stock exhaust is quiet.

Thanks for the reply...

It looks like these make some noise based on your description. While most of these may only increase the noise level some, I am really looking for mods that will add No Noise.

I heard RHFC wil make things a little noisier. What are your thoughts?

I have the gen 3, RHFC and my car still sound like stock. I don't hear the difference. I only hear a slight growl at WOT. I read that changing gear ratios do help too however, no experience with that.

Changes gears will allow quicker acceleration off the line at the cost of top speed, MPG and cruising RPMs (will be higher). When I had my mustang, it came stock with 3.23. It was popular to change out the gears to 3.73 or even taller 4.10. I did 3.73, which changes the acceleration of the car dramatically but during highway cruising at 75 mph, would cause the car the cruise at around 4500 rpms. I only had a 5 spd, but a 6th gear would have been perfect. Also, the cost to do a rear gear swap can be pretty pricey. I paid $400 several years ago. YMMV

Is a Uprev tune worthwhile on a stock 2011 G37 (Coupe, Auto)?
