Best quality / price Intake 08 g37?
Looking to buy an intake, first aftermarket part i am putting into this baby...
From researching it looks like stillen gen 3 is the best? should i go ahead and buy it new or is there an intake just as good that goes for less? How hard is it to install?

Injen and Gen 3 are the best as far as CAI for the G.
Gen 3 required dremel to cut and enlarge the openings big enough to fit the piping through. this going to pain in the a$$ install.
Injen No drilling/dremel, super easy installation, direct bolt on.

It depends on what you want it to do. All else being equal, the less-restricted the airflow is, and the colder the air is, the better.
To get less-restricted airflow, you could get a major performance boost without buying anything, simply by removing your existing air filters. Obviously this is a terrible idea (trust me--I did this with a home HVAC system once), as it will reduce the life of your engine dramatically. But this is basically what some intake mods do--they replace your existing filters with less-effective filters (all else being equal, a less-restrictive filter is a less-effective filter).
You can get colder air by drawing the air from the wheel well, or in front of the radiator. That approach raises the possibility of drawing water in too. If you're lucky the water will clog the filter and sap power when you drive in the rain; if you're really unlucky the water will get in to the engine.
Every intake mod must address these trade-offs (if it were that easy to improve performance without drawbacks elsewhere, the factory engineers would have already done it); you have to pick what you can live with. I went with the R2C because it promised better protection than the stock filters and it doesn't involve making permanent changes to the car, but the gains are much more modest than other systems offer. I'm not taking my car to the track, so that's a trade-off I can live with.

AFE Intake FTW! I've had it on my G37S for 4 months, it was a very easy install, and the gains were great. I immediately noticed the pedal response was better, it was a tad bit faster, and it made it sound like a v8. Not only do you hear that nice intake noise, but it made the exhaust a bit deeper and louder.
@Branman36, I'm thinking of putting in Ingen CAI. Did you do the installation yourself or get it professionally installed? How much was it?
Also, from what I've read, Ingen will not require any permanent cuts to the car like Stillen.
