I would say that anyone who has travelled down the road of forced induction on a VQ would tell you that you should be ready to pay for maintenance, upkeep, unexpected "issues," etc... I would suggest to not even think about F/I until you have at least double the money you think you need. For instance, if you think it will cost $10,000 to do the full kit, install, supporting mods, etc... Have $20,000.

A decent big brake kit will run you at least $3,500.

Suspension, which should include sway bars, coilovers, upgraded wheels, upgraded/wider tires, camber arms (optional), chasis bracing (optional)... That will will run you about $6,000. (With that much power you don't want to cheap out on wheels and tires. The last thing you need is a cracked/bent wheel when you're traveling at high speeds. )

I would say to do complete/thorough twin turbo, suspension, and brake set-up, you should plan on spending AT LEAST $30,000.

I'm sure some people will disagree with me. Realistically, you can probably do it cheaper, but if you want to do it right... Do it right the first time and don't skimp on the parts. Just my $.02...

Either way, have fun.

If you just want fun on the streets, then the OEM calipers should do IMO, just upgrade the rest of the brake system.

I'd give GTM a call immediately

from the thread it seems more that he wants to beat his brother in a street race in his M3. If thats the case: Wider rear tires, F/I of your choice. All that other stuff if if you plan to track

I gathered that, as well. This is hardly the first thread pertaining to sibling rivalry.

OP, of course it's not my money, but I sincerely hope you give some serious thought to dropping $20,000+ into your new car for the sole purpose of having bragging rights over your brother...

I agree with WPPJR30, spending that kind of money just for bragging to your brother is down right stupid. If you are that willing to throw away money, I can PM you my address so you can mail me a check.

If you've got that much money to use you should have bought a GTR
