its been proven that the stillen 3 gen make more power than the r2c..stillen way power more up top..r2c more power in the middle..just dpends on what you want and if you want to cut out your air vents

Installation was a success. Rain interrupted us when the intakes were off, hence, we had to take a time out. I must admit the sound is awesome and there is noticeble power gains between reves at 2k and 5k. Check out my garage for pics...Special thanks to my good friend Elias, he is a modding freak and did the installation for me....

It's good to have freaks as friends. LOL! Install looks great. Glad you are enjoying the ride and happy with your G purchase.

The r2c's are a geode fit for your car. Simple, easy and notable gains. I'm just glad this thread didn't turn into another r2c versus gen3 debate.

Nice pics and good post! Congrats!

Interpreting dyno comparison results across different days is difficult and prone to varied results, you can't look at a single run set and read them like you'd read tire air pressure. You've got to look at a wide variety of results to come to the best conclusion. That said I do believe Stillen will produce more power then R2C with a stock tune.
If that's all the information you think you need to consider to make a decision you certainly would not be alone. Stillen G3 FTW!!, Stillen G3, the proven Leader!!!

Some may have a few more questions like.. What are the results post tune? Any real world noticable difference post tune? Which offers better engine protection? What's install and maintenace look like?

Post tune tests are non-existent on the same car. Post tune on different cars, my guess of there being no real world difference between the two is highly suggested. In the end my bet is there wil be no noticable difference post tune between the intakes and definately not worth the pains and risks the Stillen design imposes, that's just my opinion though... to each his own.

When you get tired of that, add an exhaust and get a tune... You'll get one of these...

looks great manyard!... question... does the intake on the driver's side sit a little lower than the one on the passenger side? I installed mine last week and that is how mine are sitting... just want to know whether or not this is normal

It looks in your pictures to be sitting a little lower, just not sure if that is the angle or not

Almost ever SRI has this tendency. You can get the passenger side to sit lower, just keep the bracket loose, hold the heat shield down while you tighten the mounts on the side and then sinch up the ring clamp. Having the L bracket face down will let you adjust it lower then having them face up, if you have them facing up you may want to swtich sides. You want to watch that you don't let either get too high, perferably in line with the hood gasket. If you mount them too high you will end up puncturing the hood head liner.

you dont need a tune to tell the difference in intakes..there is a differnece in short ram intakes and cai its proven in just about any intake system made for any car!! and someone did a dyno of r2c and stillen in same day and there was a proven difference..
here you go

https://www.myg37.com/forums/intake-...mparisons.html

Stillen Gen3: 294whp/238tq
R2c: 272whp/226tq

I participated in that post chuckie. Lot of good info there, you need to read all of them though, not just the one. You'll see a tune does make a huge difference and that R2C is a CAI, just a different design.

I see you got an uprev tune, did you ever post results? I'd be interested in seeing what Stillen G3, Ark, HFC got pre and post tune.

Good observation, it does sit a bit lower. Radiator hoses on the passenger side are the culprit.

Menyard, I am looking for a short ram air intake and thinking about this one for my 2011 Vert. Did you have to cut anything, as I am leasing the car?
