A/M Part Combinations?

I really want to start modding my 37, But I dont have enough money to tune and buy parts all at once. I know the logical answer is to save the money. I just dont see the validation in dyno tuning a car, I know its an art every cars different and so on but im not racing and im looking for moderate gains. Im looking to prep my car for a Stillen or GTM S/C kit later on. So no intake for me but are any of the hand held tuners available able to compensate for exhaust ? or boost even ? I have read about intake but really its like beating a dead horse with the cai they really dont improve much Thanks - Dex

You'll need a tune after a supercharger or you'll be getting way less power then you paid for. Also there is no handheld tuner that I know of that will Tyne your exhaust and supercharger for you. You'll need to get it custom tuned.

The purpose of a tune is not simply to get every last horsepower out of your car. Making sure your engine is running safely and efficiently is a factor far more important than squeezing out every last bit of power. For instance, monitoring and controlling A/F ratio is something that a proper tune will provide you. There are risks involved with F/I, which is why a good tune is absolutely necessary. I recommend doing some serious research before you even begin to think about boosting your G...

I completely understand that. That is why im waiting to do it. I just think that it is ridiculous to pay that much money for something 1000 dollars for a couple of dyno runs? Seriously i understand the precision parts and that its a commodity but i should of said im not looking for a 1000 hp supercar im looking for an easy tune plug and play. A pre packaged add on which it seems every other performance car has. I just dont get why there hasnt been a forced induction tune released that is stable and readily available because frankly maybe 1/3 of any G owners will track theyre cars and the rest myself included are looking for some performance fun which the industry is making hard to do unless youre 30 and up and have a large bank account. I mean i understand its a luxury car but its just a nissan.I mean i appreciate the answers and you looking out for me im jsut frustrated with the situation and advancements in the aftermarket i wish i knew what i was doing and had the toold cause i would be all over it

None of the bolt on mods will put your engine in jeopardy besides N2O or some forced induction. But N2O or FI are the only real meaningful HP mods you are going to put on.

I would do exhaust because you can hear it all the time and know you did something but besides that pay yourself a little FI dividend from each paycheck and you'll have the money you need to go FI before you know it.

Tainui I agree completely, though I have heard from a few people that cai and exhaust have made them run lean. Do i believe this, not completely. But i dont want to risk it.
