BMW question
My buddy has a 335i sedan and we ride neck and neck. Personally, dont waste your time with 335s. Our car is way better looking, way nicer on the inside, not boring and plain like those bimmers. I rather be on the inside of my car anyday...which is why I got my 37. My sister had the coupe and it was fun to drive,dont get me wrong, but that car really isn't anything special, which is why all these 335 guys try to make their cars look like M3s....which is kinda lame IMO.

what would it take, in terms of upgrading performance, for the g to confidently beat a bmw 335 in terms of acceleration, running with them at highway speeds, and handling....
i know there are some who have said that they beat 335's right now, but I want to know what upgrades would ensure beating the 335, hands down, without going twin turbo...
the reason why i ask this, in case anyone wants to know, is that my friend has a 335i, and im tired of him talking down on my g

I'll repeat it again.
There is no way to 100% or even 50% know you will walk a 335 unless you are FI.
You can strip 300 lbs off the car, get every bolt on (MAYBE +25 whp, if that), and you will still lose to a flashed 335. simple as that.

You can pick up a 100 shot nitrous system for around 500 and be able to take the 335i that is chipped. But Mike is right, it is impossible for a G37 to beat a chipped 335i unless you are boosted or spraying.

Just adding to what everyone is saying, bolt ons won't give you low end torque, some of them even reduce it to be honest, so you'll definitely need a re-flash to compensate. TT is all about the low end torque and "engine-response" in the 335. Only way to beat that, is to shave off some weight (if you can't increase torque, reduce the weight => Same effect). Then add some bolt-ons and re-flash.
Question remains though, did you really buy the G37 to smoke your friends 335?
