When it comes to next cars, unless it's a large displacement v8, stock boost is gonna be a requirement. Never going back to an na car otherwise. Luckily turbos are becoming more and more common.

True statement. Its all about gas miliage and displacement. In five years, I don't see there being very many 3+ liters on the roads....it'll either be a meaty V8 or a turbo'd 4 cylinder.

yeah every 4 cyl car is coming out with a turbo model. which i am perfectly fine with!

cept now everyone thinks their car is fast. cause it says turbo on it. people dont realize turbines are an efficiency technology as well, not just bragging rights that your car is "Turbo'd"

my next car has to be 4.5L+... something about the sound of a v8

I've been active in the car scene since 1998. It always seems like the car enthusiasts that spend a ton of money and time into their cars are usually the first ones to bow out and move on. They either get frustrated and quit, or realize that they have spent a ton of money on something and maybe it wasn't the greatest idea. And I'm not saying Lance fits into either of those categories. I'm just saying that is what I've seen over the years.

I tell some of my friends that slow and steady wins this race. Two of my 3/Ses I've owned for 10 years now. In 30 years, I'll still be enjoying them. Heck, I like my G37 so much, I'll probably be driving it 5 or 6 years from now.

Oh and back on topic.... I'll be at the Nissan/Infiniti meet on the 30th.

later,
Curt

I'm definitely in the same boat. I want either a V8 or powerful (at least 400hp) TT V6 or inline 6.

I thought about boosting the G for a lil while but simply would not be worth it. I can take what it'll cost and step up my car game when the time comes.

a boosted g, esp a TT one, is amazing! but just not a good DD, even if you do it right. theres still just too many things on any car that is aftermarket boosted. it's a headache and requires dedication. and you gotta boost it for a reason, not just bragging rights.

So....are we planning to meet somewhere first and roll in together? Or just meet there whenever? And You might want to change the info on the front page cause it looks like it's at Weaver Lake Park now and not Real Street Performance.
