Guys_ Before this gets too crazy. Please remember that this thread is for MNGC members t post their mods. Only reason why RDDline's post stands is because it was meant as an example of what black Akebono look like for one of our members

Some pics after installing the Gen3 CAI on Lance's G... Like Lance said the install was pretttttty damn easy, the only problem Lance has is keeping track of that flathead screwdriver, treats that thing like a red headed step child

It looks as tho your front rain guard is skewed to one side, I'm honestly surprised you even installed it. I mean you do SOOOOO much driving in the rain
But it looks great! I'm looking forward to hearing it tomorrow

Yea he figured since we are taking our long trip down to Miami he would put it on to keep bugs and shiit out of it... I told him he should just take it off after we get back from the trip. He just likes the fancy bow tie look on his car

Yeah, I went back and forth about it a few times, figured it wouldn't do any harm installing it rather then not installing it in case it were to rain.

The install for the shield bolts onto one of the sides, it actually does go to the driver side a little. Obviously no one will ever know or see it, its only for protection.

My shield is the same way...... I think Stillen could have put an extra 5 mins of R&D on that component. Installing it is definitely the right call if for nothing more than keeping bugs out of your K&N's. Take a 5 min drive on a country road at night and look at your bumper...

Your gonna be glad you installed those when we go down to FL b/c it rains everyday and puddles build up really fast. Ur virgin car will get a serious rain pounding that is for sure. One of the reasons I will never do a CAI.

Given the rain on Saturday it was a perfect idea to have it on there Lance, I agree that you never know what will happen and with our trip to FL it's always better to be safe than sorry!

Looks good Tevi!
