Official *MN G CREW* rAnDoM chat thread/room
I wont be home until mid to late May, so June us the earliest the car will be ready to go anywhere.
Any of you going to MAP at BIR? I'll be there all weekend and running open road course for sure.
Sorry if there are already threads about these questions, the forums dont agree with my work computer so I just went straight to the chat thread.

"BIR" = Brainard International Speedway, its not an event.
Powercruise and "MAP Proving grounds" are 2 different events, both huge though! I wanted to make Powercruise last year. I heard it was absolutely insane, but got roped into going to a cabin 1 hours from the track and never got to the actual track.
I was pulled over doing 77 in a 55 on the highway in Atlanta in a minivan a couple years back. He knocked it down to 14 over. I tried paying it online when I got back to Minnesota, but per Georgia law anyone under the age of 21 has to appear in court for any speeding violation. I didn't know that until after the date was up to pay. I had to pay for a plane ticket to fly down there and back ($450) and I stayed there for 4 days to explore Atlanta. After $350 for the hotel and $150 for the ticket and $100 failure to appear in court fee, it ended up being an expensive 4 days. Well at least now I don't have a warrant out for my arrest in Georgia.... If only I showed the cop my military ID....
you have to be careful when trying to use a military ID, especially in the south with the amount of military there. In MN there are a lot of police officers that are also enlisted soldiers, or that were at one point enlisted. I had to show my military ID once because someone walked off with my drivers license on accident. He tried to pin me with using it as a get-out-of-jail-free card and say I was being disrespectful to the military and he should contact my 1SG.
In my unit we have a Sniper who is also a Sheriff back home. He gets soldiers speeding all the time that are going to be late for formation. He takes his time and says 'you should have planned accordingly to be 10min early like everyone else.'
