New OB 09 G37X owner here in Chicago...

Hey everyone, not new to modding cars, but new to the G37.

Did some searching around on the forum for quality shops in Chicago and mostly came away with either TH Motorsports and Project X being mentioned. Any opinions on either of these? Any other recommended shops for basic install (springs, exhaust, etc) or maintenance?

Hey, what part of Chicago are you from? Just curious.

TH Motorsports installed my springs.

If you need any audio / tint advice, let me know as I have recommendations also.

Welcome bud! Hope to see you around! Project X is the only place I will take my car for installs an performance mods! I 100% stand by their work.

A & L Autobody for any body work. Ask for Anthony, they are the best and treat enthusiasts very well! They love cars there and are absolute perfectionists!

Umbra is the place to go for window tinting. Dino is the man there and they will hook you up as well.

TH motorsports is a great place for parts and installs too from what I hear and if you need to get the parts locally but you will find that sponsors on this site are great as well for upgrades.

Lustr is a great professions detailing shop as well if that is needed.

You can always PM me for any questions. Welcome again and glad to expand to the elusive Chicago G37 crew!

Thanks for the feedback guys.

UNCTYPE-S - I'm on the N/NW side of Chicago. Your tint recommendation may come in handy in the near future.

Chi-City-G - Thanks for the additional references. Always good to get fellow G37 approved shops haha. Where did you get your front grill and headlights done? I'm assuming they are custom?

Looking for a mostly black look on my G...but first thing's first, a drop and some spacers despite winter coming up. Then I'm looking for a staggered wheel set up...then intake, then exhaust. Mostly bolt on parts and not looking to get too crazy.

Tint - Z Tech in Naperville has done my 3 last cars. They tint right up to the window ling and do a great job.

Marks Sound Mobile Audio/Video in Schaumburg - These guys are great. Ask for Mark. Have done my last 3 car audio/video/remote start/alarm projects with them. Tell him Jim with the Infiniti G sent you.

Let me know how things turn out and if you need anything else.

UNCTYPE-S - Thanks for the info. I've actually stopped by Marks before and they were really good guys and extremely knowledgeable. They did mention that the G37 is a pain to work with haha. If I get any a/v work done, I'm definitely going through them.

I may wait on tint till next Spring, so thanks for the shop recommendation.
