I was thinking the same thing at first but I have to admit that I enjoy watching the various parts I have amassed over winter for the audi. It's gonna be a brand new car come spring

Yep doin it myself. I'm essentially taping off the entire wheel with the exception of the machined face. When I'm done, each wheel face will be matte black while the wheel windows will remain the original gloss black finish.

Your wheels are much cleaner this way. The large chrome spokes into black is def a good change bro. Now mount those from tires and get those front springs in!

What kind of paint you using? I really want some darker wheels, and may take on the project of doing the stock wheel in a darker color, or pay someone to do it. How much time does it take to do one wheel?

I didn't know how I'd feel about black wheels so I'm using plasti-dip instead of actual paint. I did my A4 grille with it and figured I could always peel it off later if I didn't like it. It s a really easy process and frankly the hardest part was taping off the wheels so I would only get the face.
If you decided to go with a gloss finish on yours, you could still use plastidip as your primer, spray paint it gloss black afterward and then clearcoat it. Best part is you're not stuck with it and it can be redone over and over. a can will run you about $6 from home depot.

That is fantastic! Cheap and removable. If I screw up or it looks like a$$ I can get rid of it.

I'm still holding out for the 40 degree mark. But it will be nice to knock down some of these high snow banks along roads. I vote for open sun roofs Sunday, who's with me?

Can I borrow your 19's for like a week?!?! I just found out they'll fit over my brakes!! I want to try and get an allignment scheduled and figure out how high off the ground my bumper will be w/ wheels on so I can set my coils up or keep the same as need be.

I wanna be 100% ready to go so when my wheels get in, just need to go get them mounted/balanced and thrown on and go!!!!!!!

Lance, how do expect to hide 4 tires, and then take the FX to get them mounted without Lindsey knowing? Seems like a tall task to me when you live together.

All of you guys are making it REALLY difficult to not buy anything for my car!

I'm on that like flys on Shiz It would be a great way to start out the week, I'm just hoping that some of the snow and salt/sand get cleared a bit this weekend. It sure cant hurt!
