Damn you come up from Ohio to Ann Arbor and Troy (Somerset Mall)? You must live near Toledo I assume..
I only heard about it through my350z, they're a lot more active than this or g35driver. Yes, I live in Maumee, a Toledo suburb. It wasn't too bad, there are no G/Z entusiasts in my area, whatsover.

Congrats on the new G37!

I'll be up to Ann Arbor Infiniti soon to see if they can find a squeak in my rear suspension, that's been just driving me crazy!

I asked a few guys at the ann arbor dealership about that service tech, one of the guys said he will find out where he went and let me know.

Thanks for doing that. I'm sure the other techs there are fine, but he was a nissan master tech, seemed pretty meticulous and has worked on other forced induction Z/Gs.

Calling in from Windsor, ON. Bought my G37S from Suburban in Novi back in May when US$1 = C$1 (today it's US$1 = C$1.19) so I got a fairly good discount! Winter tires are on my car ... but I rarely take the car over to the US much these days (no reason to) ... but when I do, I definitely go get gas.

I'll drive I-75 to Madison Heights (costco) or over to Canton (ikea) ... so I drive all over the place and know most suburban areas fairly well.

Bumping this thread up.

Memorial weekend ... anything going on? I might debadge the the rest of the lettering off the truck since I will clay and wax (Zaino) the car on this week.

The weather the past couple days have been utterly brilliant.

2009 XceedSpeed Family Reunion - 9/26 Kensington Metropark! - XceedSpeed

2009 XceedSpeed Family Reunion - 9/26 Kensington Metropark!
Yes, it's true, we're having a BBQ. I'm dubbing this one the "AYHSMB BBQ" .. Google it.

This one is slightly different. I'm tired of running out of food, drinks, etc.. so this one is FAMILY STYLE. Yeah.. it's pot luck.

First, the details.

Date: Sept 26th
Time: 11am
Location: Baywoods Picnic area - Kensington Metropark (Picnic area G on the map)
<Click here for a map of the park>

Food:
As always, we will be providing the burgers and dogs and condiments. Unlike other years, this one is POT LUCK. Meaning you must bring something to share. I don't care if it's potato chips or your famous tuna casserole, bring something!

Beverages:
You're responsible to bring your own beverages this year. We always run out so we're running this like it's a family reunion, bring drinks for you and yours. If you want to bring drinks to share, that's fine. Just know we're not providing anything nor are we asking anyone to bring drinks for everyone.

Raffle
We will be having a small raffle to cover the cost of the event. Tickets will be $1 or you'll have an option to buy in bulk. Prizes will include a cell phone from Patrick @ Go Wireless and a few other little things we've picked up. We'll also be giving away 50% of all cash raised in various prize amounts.

FAQ

Alcohol Policy: The park has rules on alcohol. I believe it restricts glass bottles but I'll have to check. As with every year, I would encourage you not to drink as we're a big group of car enthusiasts and the last thing we're interested in is drunk driving. However, you are big boys and girls so use your own discretion.

Pets: Feel free to bring your dog/ferret/monkey but make sure you pick up after it. Also, if your dog is vicious, leave it at home. Remember, there's kids at these things.

Family: Bring them along! Seriously.

V8 owners: COME. For realz. This isn't some event locked down to the target audience of this site, if you're on here as a lurker or an instigator or just a troll.. come on out.

As always, I'm going to encourage you to bring something to do. The pavilion/parking lot is right on the bike path.. bring some bikes! There's disc golf, get a group together and go play! This is a celebration of the end of summer and a community event so the more you do that doesn't involve just sitting in a parking lot with your cars, the more fun you'll probably have.
