Now when you mount this you need to drill through the bottom which a whole bunch of screws to hopefully prevent it from flying off like mine 
will the Carbon crack when you drill through it

Carbon fiber wotn crack unless you go straight to a 1" drill. In that case anything will crack because of the pressure and torque of the drill.
When you drill through anything especially carbon fiber and fiberglass you want to start with a small drill bit and progress in size. That prevents you from tearing up and shredding the carbon fiber and worst of all creating a spider crack.
