Test Pipes Vs. Long Tube Headers

2011 g37x coupe. How much faster would the LTH be than the test pipes? I also have an admin intake and an ark grip catback. There will be a tune after as well. I was just curious if people who have made this jump (or are just more knowledgeable than me) might have some insight if this upgrade is worth it or what else may need to be upgraded to fully take advantage. Thank you!

"Faster"? Lol
long tubes have the potential to flow more then the test pipes.
If you"re in a smog state, stick with the test pipes. So you can swap in cats for inspection time.
otherwise, ask your tuner which he prefers for your setup.

Most long tube headers and quality short tube headers with a retune have been shown to provide gains orf about ~15whp over stock headers and test pipe with tune.
Moncef (Admin Tuning) did a video showing the gains on 3 different customer cars (one with ISR headers, another with Z1 heades, and another with Tomei headers)

I guess im basically just trying to justify if its worth it to throw another $1000~ at the car for another 10~hp with the headers or go the cheaper option with the test pipes but slightly less power.
Decisions decisions 🫠🤔

Gotcha, that's a tough question since dollar/hp will vary person to person.

I think for our platform, most people would be fine with drop in filters, test pipes, and exhaust then tune. get to 300whp and call it a day.

Otherwise, save money for boost.
