Resonated test pipes vs non resonated HFC
Resonated test pipes vs non resonated HFC
The search wouldn't let me really put that much in the search bar and get decent results. So I have the dreaded rattle coming from the stock cats so it's time to swap them out. I'm talking to 2 people about items for sale. One is MXP resonated test pipes, the other item is Berks non resonated HFC. I don't care about the smell, more concerned with crappy exhaust sound with the stock exhaust. I MAY at some point do a cat back exhaust but it's not in the plans right now. I guess my question is since the test pipes are resonated will that be close to non resonated HFC's as far as rasp goes? Thanks guys!
I would go with HFC as I've heard stock exhaust paired up with TP and they sound pretty raspy. HFC sounds throatier.
TP can sound good with certain exhausts but not with the stock exhaust IMO.
Strangely enough, I went from Berk HFC to ART pipes and I didn't notice much of a difference. Aside from the car smelling like *** afterwards.

HFCs are going to be less raspy; especially with the smaller piping of the stock system. Berks is a well known product in the community and are high quality. If I was choosing between them and MXP, the Berks are a no brainer.
