Anyone have experience with these cheap ($200ish/pair) cats on eBay? There is a few brands being sold but all seem more or less the same. Most seem to be made in Canada. My Cats are legit shot, I don’t want the rasp of HFCs and don’t want to spend $2k on oem. Used cats on the forum classifieds disappear in no time so it’s hard to nab them.

im guessing they are less restrictive than oem but not quite hfc. They don’t have a cell count listed and I can’t get an answer from the sellers on cell count.

If you have an opinion or experience with these, please share.

 

HFCs will not produce that much rasp compared to test pipes or resonated test pipes. The rasp is typically only on deceleration around 2k-3k.

 

Yea I’ve heard a bunch of them on YouTube and that hiss sound when revs drop is a dealbreaker for me I think.

 

Post up if you go with them. I'm looking to replace mine. They still work fine but I have the dreaded rattle on the left one...not tuning the vehicle for non catted pipes and it seems the OEM ones go fast and not sure if I want to bother with high flows cats, it's my daily driver(the Camaro is the fast fun car). The rattle is driving me nuts, sounds like a trailer park trash car lol
