that link above is what I currently have with my stock cats, stock mid pipe, and Tanabe axle back exhaust.

it’s not terribly loud at idle or above 25mph. It’s really just accelerating and low rpms where I hear a decent rattle noise that doesn’t sound too pleasant.

are you guys saying the ISR y pipe will essentially be louder or worse than the current ****ty eBay y pipe that I currently have?

stock cats, thought you have berks. Stock cats are great noise suppressant. But still it will be louder.

I have a 2012 G37xS sedan. I just ordered the ISR Y-pipe today and noticed the outlet is 3in diameter. I know the inlet of the stock mid-pipe is 2.5in.

Is your current set-up ISR Y-pipe to the stock mid-pipe? If so, is there any rattling or drone?

Reason I ask is because I ordered a cheap crappy y-pipe from eBay for $110 last month with the same specs (3in outlet to stock 2.5in mid-pipe) and it sounds horrible at 2000-4000 rpms.

I am hoping the better quality and design of the ISR vs eBay y-pipe will help eliminate some of the rattle and drone at the low rpms, but the 3in to 2.5 in y- to mid-pipe is my main concern. I’m considering a 3in to 2.5 in exhaust flange adapter to see if that alleviates any of the rattle and drone as well.

Any input or info on what direction I should I head in would be greatly appreciated.
I guess you didn't watch the video I posted of my car. Also the stock midpipe diameter for a Sedan where it meets tbe Ypipe is less than 2.5, more like 2.36➡3 which you'll def get rasp.

2.75 pipe quieter compared to stock? Hard to believe. But hey, must be true.

Yeah my fault, after it broke in, it does have some drone. Not unbearable like a muffler delete, but it's there at low rpm. I don't know if it's my Dyno butt, it feels like got some gains.
