Need help resonated test pipes and resonators

I currently have Megan resonated test pipes, manzo y pipe, stock mid pipe, and manzo axle back. I get a lot of rasp and drone. What resonators can I use to help drone and rasp? I have an 09 g37 coupe

Your mix and match of exhaust parts is a big contributing factor. In the past 6 years of owning my car and learning more, it seems that exhausts systems sound better when coupled with the same brand. For example and I have full Motordyne; ART pipes and catback. I've heard ART pipes on other catbacks and they have a lot of rasp. IMO stick with the same brand. Megan and Manzo are cheaper and you get what you pay for. Any resonator will help but it may or may not be what you are looking for.

Vibrant resonators will clean the sound up. Closer to the motor, the better. While the name brand systems are great, at the end of the day, it's just piping; so I can understand not wanting to shell out $1,800 before shipping. That said, you're going to be doing a lot of trial and error to get the sound right where you want it. My set-up is a frankenstein set-up and I believe I'm a hair over $1,000 all in at this point. Took me over a year to get the sound right; so that's the trade-off of getting a complete and R&D'd system out the box.

So swapping the stock with vibrant resonators in the same exact place would help ? Any idea on which kind of resonators I should buy and size ?

So if I put like 18” vibrant resonators in place of the old resonators on the mid pipe it wouldn’t do anything since it’s farther away from the engine?

It will..but in order to minimize rasp the closer you get to the engine, the greater the effect. For example, my car sounded like a swarm of bees and was insanely loud after my test pipe install.

Now, with the resonators in place on the Y pipe, there isn't a hint of rasp throughout the RPM band. In short, I'm running four resonators total. Two that came on the Top speed mid pipe and the two Vibrant units that are welded to an after market Y pipe.

The stock mid pipe is what's killing you. Everything else in your set-up is 2.3'' or larger. The mid pipe is all of 1.7'' and a massive restriction point.

If it were me, I'd see if an exhaust shop could fab me up a 2.25-2.5'' mid pipe and weld resonators in. It should not be more than 300-400 total.
