What is this piece for air flow

I have searched all over for this connector piece for my 2009 G37x. I bought it used and checked the Takeda Stage Two installation manual, but there is no mention of it. I though it was an Evap valve or??? It has two connecting spots that are perpendicular to each other. Everything I find online has the hose connections as parallel.

IIRC and you mean the little box off the intake arm, it a collector/resonator on the OEM intake that connects to PCV system...its usually deleted on aftermarket intakes...some aftermarket intakes (the Z1 silicone ones i think) use a plug in place of it...this is just a loose recollection off the top of my head though, there's a few threads answering this question on this if you dig a bit

Its resonator box to quite down intake. Aftermarket ones dont have them. You can unplug it and cap it with rubber plumbing cap they come with screw band to tighten on.

I have a question in relation to this thread if anyone can please help. I had installed R2C intakes about 2 years ago and now i went to put back my OEM intakes back on and can't figure out how to connect the hoses back into the intake. Can anyone help please based on the photos? I see the passenger side only has one place to connect and the hose is right under it, but having trouble with the driver side as there are 3 places to connect the hose. Thanks.

They slip on and use screw down clamps
