DC sports headers
#2
I found several posts. I changed the search from THREADS to POSTS, then DC Sports Headers. I didn't see entire threads just posts. Good Luck.

I just ordered some DC Sports headers. Have you gotten them? Any feedback?

No photos but I did look at them. The stock pipes seemed to have pretty good flow/shape, but they were extremely thin. In fact when the guy was removing them, when the bolt broke loose the wrench hit one of the pipes and actually tore a hole in it like a beer can. I got the headers first (before HFC's) because I knew I'd stop with the HFC's if I did them first and I always wanted a car with headers. Plus I like that the DC Sports are ceramic coated.

Did you get the ones for the G37? The ones for the G35 I believe are CARB legal and the G37s aren't. I hear they are about the same in size. Any gains?

Yes, I got the ones for a G37. I live in GA where we don't worry about CARB crap. I haven't noticed any gains other than the cool sound, but I also haven't gotten a tune yet. Waiting for high flow cats to do that.

any updates on your install? I'm considering these for the same reason with wanting to match up to my g37 test pipes.

No updates. Same setup. Still haven't gotten hight flow cats or a tune but I still love the sound (and just knowing my car has headers ). I keep delaying because I really just like to get a GTR. I have 3 kids in college that are really eating into my GTR budget.

Ha! I have a g37 that needs turbo and it wants to eat away at my 3 and 5 year olds college budget! Well i think I'm going forward with the purchase of dc sports headers. Just wanted to keep searching feedback & ensure it's a quality purchase. Thank you, sir

I definitely don't regret buying them, they are quality pipes. One thing, the install is difficult. I have "a guy" that did mine but it took him a long time. I think like 7 hrs. If you're considering turbo(s), wouldn't you need to get turbo manifolds vs headers?

For sure, i was just kidding about turbo. Maybe down the road, but for now just making it a happy Na. I know it's arguable to just wait it out since these upgrades are expensive for minimum gain, but I'm enjoying the full bolt on elements until turbo seems possible.
